ADVANCED IMPORTING

On this page, you’ll find advanced instructions for importing data into Routzy. Procedures for importing an existing items and services list or for importing contacts from another CRM application appear below. For basic instructions on importing your iPad contacts, reference the Getting Started tutorial on our tutorials page.

Import items and services.

Importing your existing items and services into Routzy can save your sales team hours of setup when implementing Routzy.

  1. Download the item import CSV template to your computer.
  2. Open the routzy-item-import.csv file in your favorite spreadsheet editing program.
  3. Starting at the second row, fill in as much data as you have for each item. Use the column headers to dictate the data entered.
  4. When filling out data for the Taxable field, a 0 (zero) indicates that an item is not taxable. A 1 (one) indicates that an item is taxable.
  5. Save the CSV file with UTF-8 Encoding.
  6. E-mail your CSV file to an e-mail address you can access from your iPad.
  7. On your iPad, open the email, then tap and hold on the CSV attachment. Select Open in Routzy from the menu that pops up.
  8. That’s it! Open Routzy and make sure all your data has been imported correctly.

Importing contacts from another CRM app

If you’ve been using another CRM app to help manage your sales contacts, you can switch to Routzy without losing all the data you’ve accumulated over the years.

  1. Download the contact import CSV template to your computer.
  2. Open the routzy-contact-import.csv file in your favorite spreadsheet editing program.
  3. Starting at the second row, fill in as much data as you have for each contact. Use the column headers to dictate the data entered.
  4. Save the file as a CSV file type. If you are using Windows with Excel save the file as a CSV (Comma delimited) file type. If you are using a Mac with Numbers save the file with UTF-8 Encoding.
  5. E-mail your CSV file to an e-mail address you can access from your iPad.
  6. On your iPad, open the email, then tap and hold on the CSV attachment. Select Open in Routzy from the menu that pops up.
  7. That’s it! Open Routzy and make sure all your data has been imported correctly.
